We made another trip back to Blackhawk. This time, we went during the RAGBRAI event so it was quite busy. The tent camping spots were frequently held by bikers passing through. There was a rush of folks ahead of the rally that spent the night. I believe there is pretty good sized following of people who don’t register but ride along anyway.

We had some visitors to the site and they should be reflected in the few photos we took. The beach was closed and the internet service wasn’t that great but we still had a great time as usual. This park is a very cozy park and heavily shaded too. I would like to visit this park again every year if I get the opportunity. It’s also not very far to drive from our home camp.

We did take a day trip up to Storm Lake to visit the Honda dealer on Sunday and we were actually able to get in even though they were closed. Storm Lake was very busy as that’s where the riders were camping for the night. We stayed for a while, visited the vendors and then moved back to camp.

As always, below are some of the photos we took during this trip. I may have mentioned it before, but I like to visit these pages during the long, cold, hard, winters we get here in Iowa.
