We took a nice camp trip up to Red Rock Lake recently. The campground we stayed at was very large and very nice. It was fairly shaded and very well kept up. Our site was paved and had full hook-ups too. We were in a loop that was pretty private as the normal flow of traffic didn’t go through it. There was plenty of space between the sites too. We were told the loop was recently scaled back (sites were removed) to make it more spacious.
The internet connection was not that great. I believe I only got two bars so I didn’t even try the VPN. The dumpster was near the entrance which of course was a ways down the road. That means I got lots of steps in while carrying small bags of dog poop. The shower house looked modern, although I didn’t visit. They also had various buildings around the park that looked primitive from the outside, but inside they were pretty nice.
Pella was just a short jaunt down the road and we visited the local Walmart a few times during our stay. We also visited the wind mill in town (see posting) and the ice cream shop. Both were fun times.
I will be making another stop at this park in the future. It was such a nice park to go see and the staff was very friendly. As usual, I took a few photos of the park and they are included below.
