We recently took a trip to Lincoln Nebraska for a convention downtown. I like to camp during this event because I can take my dog with me and lets face it, I don’t really want to make that drive for 3 days during rush hour (both morning and afternoon). It set me back 21 gallons of gas pulling the camper round trip.
I stayed at this park for 4 nights and as you will see in the photos below, it is a full service park. It’s about four times as expensive as what I’m used to paying at Iowa State Parks. My site cost me right at $75 per night.
Having said that, the park is great place to stop in for a night on your way through. There are plenty of pull through spots with full hook ups. If you are staying for a few days, there are plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. The internet was rock solid. The staff is very friendly. There are many pet stations with garbage and bags (in case you forget yours). There is a cable service included but I got enough TV OTA that I didn’t hook it up. There is also lots of shade. Overall this park is better than many KOA parks I’ve paid to stay at.
There’s also a water slide, small park, pool, what I’m calling the barrel train, and some sort of sling shot water balloon fight thingy for the kids and two fenced in areas for the dogs to run free. For me, it’s nice to splurge every now and again at a park. I guess this was my time for the season to do just that.
Anyway, down below are a few photos that I snagged while I visited. Overall, I had a great time. My only frustration was with the Uber app on my phone setting up a ride downtown. This has nothing to do with the park though. I will just say the Uber app is down right horrible and I couldn’t even get it to accept my credit card the first day and had to use Lyft. If my company didn’t have an arrangement with Uber, I’d delete that app completely.
BTW – In case you’re following along with the AC saga, the camper stayed right at 76-77 degrees the entire time in 96 degree heat however both units ran most of the day keeping it there.
