It was our second annual trip to Indian Cave State Park. We had so much fun last year. Why not do a repeat?
Due to a tragic mishap with one of our campers in the most recent wind storm, we were short one camper. That didn’t stop us from having the monster breakfast. We just had a tent camper from one stubborn chef (who btw turned out one amazing feast for all).
The weather was very hot and very humid but it cooled down after the sun set. We even had a crop duster keep us alert on Thursday night. Dad brought his horse shoes so that was some added fun.
Despite the steep hills, we managed to get a few e-bike runs done. The road to St. Deroin is always fun. I did capture that on 360 video so be sure to watch for that below. The only event down there was the broom maker. The rest of town is pretty desolate. Even the horses are gone now.
When I arrived at my site, I was not happy to have had to clean up after the previous tenants but at night the cleaning crew came around and took care of anything left unattended that tasted good. This includes the grease tray on the Blackstone’s and any utensils left out. After that, I realized that the previous tenants may not be the problem.
If you were at the event and have photos to add, please send them over and I’ll add them in. As always evidence is shown below…
Listed below are some 360 group photos that I took. You can drag the photo around to see the whole group. They are linked together so after reviewing each one, be sure to click the link for the next photo on Molly.
Listed below are some videos I took. They are all raw footage with no narration.
The first one is the road to St. Deroin. It is a nifty little road you would not want to pull your fifth wheel down. It is a fantastic ride for e-bikers especially since the traffic was zilch.
This next video is of the Hackberry Hollow campground where we stayed. The gist of this video is to show all the camp spots available in case anyone in the future wants an idea what they are reserving before they reserve it.
And finally the same tour except of the Ash Groove Campground.
